How to Handle Cold Calling

Cold calling is a skill any seasoned real estate agent should have, yet it’s one of the last skills people tend to tackle. Real Estate Insider Magazine has provided some tips to help ensure your success when cold calling, all the while making the experience fun – yes, fun!
The first tip is to have good posture. They say to “plant both feet on the floor, straighten your back, pull your shoulders back and push out your chin. This not only makes you look confident, but you’ll feel more confident, too. Just hold this posture before, during and after each call you make”.
The second tip Real Estate Insider Magazine provides is to call two friends first. By calling two friends first, you will feel “empowered when you hang up the phone. These calls are your “warm-up act.” And if you don’t reach your favorites right away, keep dialing until you speak to a feel-good friend”.
Other tips include calling within your farming area and having ice-breakers ready to go.
